About the Role  

The Retail Marketing team develops and manages retail marketing programs with Roku’s largest retail partners. Those programs ensure a premium brand presence through the retailer’s marketing channels to drive demand, customer engagement and sales. This ranges from in-store merchandising programs,  eCommerce / CRM marketing tactics as well as retail promotions and offers that leverage strategic partnerships with media and content partners. The Director of Retail Marketing will collaborate internally with senior stakeholders in Retail Strategy, Sales, Business Development and Brand Studio to create outstanding merchandising materials and programs that provide a unique value for Roku customers, as well as Roku’s retail and business partners. This ranges from paid media campaigns, content promotions, in-store and digital merchandising, strategic projects and cooperative marketing efforts. The candidate must be an experienced, energetic and self-motivated individual that has previous retail marketing/merchandising experience and is well versed in B2B business relationships and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $193,000 and $245,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you'll be doing

  • Negotiate, plan, develop and execute innovative retail marketing programs, both in-store and digital 
  • Develop and establish the strategy and vision for how Roku products are represented at retail 
  • Set and accomplish clear monthly and quarterly goals in building awareness and consideration to drive sales and new user acquisition across partner retail channels 
  • Own content and creative strategy and execution of Roku’s retail marketing programs  
  • Collaborate across the Roku marketing, sales, brand, business development, operations and product teams to find synergies and align on priorities 
  • Build and maintain relationships with the merchandising team of key accounts in territory  
  • Flawless on-brand execution across all retail channels, ensuring on-time updates related to product info, pricing, partnerships, offers and promotions 
  • Develop research agenda for customer insights to constantly improve customer satisfaction and ensure an impeccable brand presentation 

 

We're excited if you have

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA a plus 
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in a retail marketing and/or strategic partnership role 
  • 5+ years building and leading cross-functional teams 
  • Direct experience managing partnerships, negotiating deals and contract development 
  • Strong industry relationships across retail, consumer electronic brands, media and entertainment 
  • Track record of successful leading retail channel marketing and merchandising programs, both in-store and digital 
  • Deep understanding of in-store merchandising technology, POS systems, retail supply chain and store operations 
  • Experience in budgeting, planning and running omni-channel marketing programs, eTail and eCommerce merchandising, leveraging CRM and MarTech 
  • Experience managing large multi-channel marketing budgets and maximizing ROI across multiple KPIs 
  • Proven ability to forge and optimize relationships with partners and colleagues 
  • Prior experience in the consumer electronics category 
  • Passion for film, television, media and entertainment 
  • Broad understanding of the streaming industry 
  • Natural ability to lead, motivate and collaborate 
  • Proven planning, prioritization, organizational and time management skills 
  • Skilled communicator and ability to lead project discussions across varying levels of the organization 
  • Attention to detail and follow-through essential 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, priority changing, deadline-driven environment 
  • Highly analytical and strong metrics-driven decisioning skills  
  • Experience working across a large matrix organization with the ability to influence, work collaboratively, and gain consensus
