Manager, Partner Engagement

About the team 

The Partner Management team’s mission is to guide our content partners to imagine, develop, and publish best in class video apps and experiences. As the main point of contact for platform, product, and technical topics, we partner closely with content publishers, 3rd party developers, and cross-functional teams within Roku, including Content Acquisition, Partner Growth, Payments, Advertising, Partner Initiatives, Product and Engineering. In addition to facilitating onboarding and channel launches across the world, we help partners build channels that delight customers while ensuring compliance to Roku’s platform and business requirements. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $124,000 and $238,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

About the role 

The Manager, Partner Management will be responsible for the success of all new and existing top tier content partner on the Roku platform. You will lead partner management of all key projects with content providers. You will expertly manage all partner relationship and operational aspects, from inception through launch and beyond. As part of this, you will also drive top tier partner integration of new strategic Roku OS features, including driving creation and execution of overall project plans.  

As the ideal candidate, you are an energetic, self-motivated, excellent communicator, team leader that has proven partner and program management success within the entertainment streaming industry.  You have a natural ability to balance relationship building, technical understanding, domain expertise, and project management skills to successfully deliver results. You can easily scale from high-level to complex discussions and influence/facilitate results across functions.  

Reports to the Sr. Director, Partner Management. Light travel may be required .

What you’ll be doing 

• Lead a team dedicated to the success of our top tier content partners - Direct evolution and scaling of the team’s methods to pro-actively meet the demands of our ongoing growth
• Manage strategic partner relationships - Be the primary liaison with some key content providers. Build and maintain strong relationships. Be highly available and responsive to partner requests and enquiries. Drive all issues to expedient and optimal resolution
• Maintain Partners’ Focus - Ensure Roku’s platform continues to be a priority for key partners with proactive, regular engagement and timely sharing of new development information to optimize their Roku offering
  
  

We’re excited if you have  

• 10+ years of relevant partner relationship management and program management experience – Proven ability to forge and optimize relationships with partners and colleagues. Natural ability to lead, motivate and collaborate. Proven planning, prioritization, organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, presentation, and written: Ability to succinctly communicate and lead project discussions across varying levels of the organization
• Strong technical ability with good understanding of Roku related technologies – Experience with entertainment delivery solutions, online content providers, video streaming file formats, codecs, DRM, and digital ad insertion
• Exceptional leadership skills that include, but are not limited to selection, team management, performance management and talent planning
• Ability to thrive on rapid development and a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering, Business or related discipline required
