About the Role 

We’re seeking an Analyst to join our Revenue Analytics & Insights team to play a critical role in supporting Roku’s Ad Sales business. This role will provide internal support for Roku’s Agency Partnerships team, which manages relationships with our largest agency partners. In this role, you’ll leverage data to support strategy & planning, internal business reviews, and regular KPI reporting to drive success with our agency partnerships. The analyst should have experience working at or with agency holding companies and supporting Upfront negotiations (or comparable long-term deals). This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep knowledge of the media/OTT space; the analyst should bring familiarity with deal frameworks within the media and advertising landscape, particularly with publisher and agency relationships. The analyst should have a propensity to turn data into compelling analysis and drive actionable insights and revenue growth.  

This position is located at our office in New York City and will report to the Manager, Revenue Analytics and Insights.  

For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $90,000 and $130,000 annually.  

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for incentive compensation/commissions, health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.   

 

What you’ll be doing 

 

  • Quantify the impact of the sales strategy for our agency partnerships team; measure the success of strategies aimed at driving long-term growth, and provide clear recommendations for changes in strategy or alternate approaches when appropriate 
  • Build data-driven reporting to support the agency partnerships team 
  • Provide an informed perspective on opportunities and threats within the broader advertising market; work closely with stakeholders to make recommendations on strategies needed to ensure we’re ahead of the curve  
  • Partner with sales leadership to uncover key opportunities to drive revenue; provide reporting to track outcomes around these opportunities.  
  • Design, maintain, and scale dashboards using Excel and Tableau and self-serve data products for on-demand insights 
  • Craft and deliver account-specific quarterly business reviews for sales leadership that help us understand trends and patterns.  
  • Optimize our data model to ensure that we are able to track key customers’ and their attributes in the most scalable way possible; draw recommendations around new data sets needed to complement the tools and data that we currently have 
  • Take a focused but not siloed approach, working in partnership with the larger Revenue Operations to push forward strategic initiatives that span our core pillars.  

 

We’re excited if you have  

 

  • Ability to use data to tell a story; comfortable preparing & presenting executive-level materials.  
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including advanced use of pivot tables  
  • Working experience with one or many BI/Visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker, as well as some exposure to SQL and joining data across multiple datasets 
  • Understanding of data, hierarchies and relationships, and how they relate to business metrics and KPIs.  
  • Experience building financial models leveraging historical data and forward-looking assumptions  
  • Fluent in media-math (CPMs, impressions, reach, share-of-voice)  
  • High degree of drive and self-motivation and comfort working autonomously  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfort working at all levels of a sales organization  
  • Thrive in a dynamic work environment, exhibiting ability to be flexible and a strong team player  
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail, and ability to work on many tasks concurrently  
  • Eagerness to work in a start-up team environment that will be rapidly changing and often presents ambiguous situations   

 

Experience/Qualifications  

  • 3-5 years’ experience in revenue operations, sales operations, FP&A, or market intelligence positions within the media industry  
  • Direct experience partnering with sales or other GTM teams  
  • Experience supporting Upfront negotiations or other long-term deal cycles 
  • Highly fluent in the OTT space; experience with Programmatic ecosystem is a bonus  
  • Working knowledge of sales terminology and metrics  
  • College degree
