Senior Financial Analyst, Original Content

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst for Original Content will support the high growth of The Roku Channel business.  This role provides analytical and direct business support including the forecast, monthly close, annual plan, results analysis, and reporting packages.  The role involves coordination of business inputs across multiple departments and must be comfortable working cross-functionally.  The role will support the original content business that has produced titles such as Weird: The Al Yankovic Story and, the Emmy award winning series, This Old House. 
The job provides the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the fast-growing OTT and FAST industry. 
This role reports to the FP&A Manager, Originals. The role is located in Santa Monica, CA. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $83,000 and $160,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you'll be doing

• Partner with Roku Originals and Roku Studios teams to accurately forecast content revenue, COGS and OPEX
• Create financial dashboards & reporting for original content, identifying key performance indicators and trajectory to plan & forecast
• Assist in creation and approval of content Greenlights
• Track and update content ultimates
• Work closely with Accounting during month end close to ensure complete and accurate accruals
• Identify key variance drivers to explain variances to plan, forecast, YoY & QoQ
• Provide ad hoc modeling and in-depth analysis to drive intelligent decision making
  
  

We're excited if you have

• 3-5 years of FP&A experience
• Studio, production finance or entertainment familiarity preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics and communicate results effectively
• Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple departments. Practices a service-oriented business partnering approach
• Eagerness to work in a fast-paced team environment that will be rapidly changing
• Comfortable in an evolving environment and eagerness for problem solving
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized  
• Salesforce / Airtable / NetSuite / Adaptive experience a plus
