About the role

The Devices organization at Roku is responsible for products and partnerships that lead to continued account acquisition. In this role, you will be responsible for strategy and business operations for specific business areas. You will work directly with senior, cross-company stakeholders to plan and execute on Device's highest impact programs. This position requires demonstrated leadership in defining and successfully executing business critical, complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives for a consumer electronics company. It is a broad role, requiring technical chops, business savvy, stellar communication, and drive.
What you’ll be doing
- Accountable for the successful launch of business-critical internal and external-facing initiatives that drive account growth
- Develop and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, understand the business and navigate within the organization to drive initiatives effectively
- Drive initiatives forward by working with cross-functional teams to translate objectives into results. Lead teams consisting of senior leaders from engineering, product management, partner management, product marketing, communications, operations, customer care, finance, legal, and retail sales
- Define key metrics that measure success of each of our businesses and identify strategies and initiatives to achieve those KPIs
- Foster a culture of data-driven program management for critical decision making, product excellence and exceptional execution
- Continually improve processes across the company to improve execution and sustain the business
- Provide a weekly summary of decisions, issues, and actions, and ensure executive staff is appropriately informed and can act accordingly

- The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a strong program management track record, and a pragmatic, data-driven approach to problem-solving. To them, shipping products is second nature and they have demonstrated the ability to drive both technical and non-engineering functions towards a successful product launch. They will be motivated by the ability to play a significant role ensuring that Roku is successful in scaling its business while continuing its long-held reputation of exceeding customer expectations.
- They can establish credibility up and down the leadership chain and influence decision making that drives success for their business areas. They build consensus, make decisions, and solve problems. They will foster relationships with various cross functional leaders to understand business priorities and identify the key products and initiatives that support those priorities. They thrive in wading through the ambiguity to find and propose a clear path forward, gain consensus, and then execute with the team. They will be a self-starter and results oriented, with a focus on setting and achieving key goals, as agreed, and holding others to task if an effort is not on target. They excel at context switching quickly - becoming an expert on all facets of the business and jumping in and working side by side with individual functional colleagues where appropriate. Where they see gaps in how we execute, they will proactively propose and implement new lightweight processes.
