About the role  

Within Roku’s Mobile organization, we’re in search of an experienced mobile product manager to lead our multi-disciplinary development team. As an ideal candidate, you will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. You’re a highly skilled mobile product manager with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of product production — from conception through release. 

This is a broad role, requiring technical chops, business savvy, stellar communication, and drive.  Some days you will be deep in technical reviews mobile with SW engineers. Other days, you may be assessing market opportunity, talking to customers, or briefing executive staff on your analysis.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $129,000 and $450,000 annually.  Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions for experiences with the Roku Mobile App. 
  • Know the customer and relentlessly advocate in their best interest. 
  • Deliver thoughtful and well-designed product experiences on a timely pace
  • Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company
  • Obsess over the customer experience. 

We’re Excited If You Have 

  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle for Mobile Apps for both iOS and Android 
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams as the product owner in an agile environment.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience driving projects with cross-functional colleagues
  • Experience of going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.
  • Excitement about things you don’t know. You ask lots of questions and go searching for answers. Geeking out is part of what makes it fun to come to work.
  • Excellent at communication, facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • Previous work with IoT or streaming services a plus
  • A comfort in operating in a highly dynamic environment and the ability to thrive navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems
  • Strong, influential cross-functional team leader 

Experience 

  • At least 5 years (but likely more) experience in product management with a focus on mobile applications  
  • BS or equivalent. MS/MBA preferred.
