About the Team

The Technical Operations (TOPS) group is a team of Solutions Engineering professionals that provides operational support for Advertising Operations and Product initiatives across Roku’s advertising platform, spanning The Roku Channel, Roku advertising partner integrations, native and interactive formats, and measurement and data asset programs.

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Technical Operations (Advertising) to lead a Solutions Engineering team focused on supporting data, measurement, and custom native and interactive ad executions across Roku’s advertising platform. You will lead the team’s cross-functional partnership with Product to operationalize new measurement, data, and custom native/interactive advertising features—owning end-to-end readiness (requirements, workflows, tooling, QA, SLAs, rollout) and establishing scalable processes to deliver coordinated, high-quality launches. You will own and evolve escalation paths and drive clear, auditable resolution from intake through fix verification. You will work directly with the functional leads for Engineering and Product Management to align on priorities and resourcing.

For New York Only – The estimated annual salary for this position is between $141,000 - $170,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead Technical Operations support for measurement and Roku Clean Room use cases end-to-end, including clear intake criteria, triage, and post-resolution documentation for measurement and data collaboration escalations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and General Availability (GA) criteria for Roku’s proprietary native and interactive formats
  • Manage escalation paths for Roku’s internal measurement products, ensuring issues (e.g., report generation failures, campaign visibility issues, impression discrepancies) are triaged and resolved in coordination with Product and Engineering staff
  • Maintain close alignment with Roku Clean Room and measurement functional leads on prioritization, staffing, and updates; share status and risks across stakeholders regularly
  • Publish clear operational guides and training (Jira templates, certification checklists, Roku Clean Room workflows, troubleshooting FAQs) to increase self-service and reduce inbound escalations over time
  • Contribute roadmap input to Product Management leaders, translating operational pain points into feature requests that reduce manual work and improve reliability

We’re Excited If You Have

  • 3+ years of experience leading Technical Operations and/or Solutions Engineering teams
  • Practical knowledge of clean room platforms and how they enable planning, activation, and measurement use cases in the advertising ecosystem
  • Experience with vendor certification and governance for measurement partners (approval matrices, pixel validation, exposure feeds, documentation updates, and change control)
  • Proficiency in SQL and BI/dashboard tools to validate hypotheses and monitor system health; comfortable operationalizing queries and views that accelerate measurement troubleshooting, and prevention
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering and Product to define requirements for proprietary features and beta programs, including GA criteria that reduce operational overhead
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a builder’s mindset for documentation, training, and playbooks that scale repeatable, high-quality execution across teams

The Roku Culture

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
