Senior Product Manager, Content Conversion
Teamwork makes the stream work.
Roku is changing how the world watches TV
Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and we've set our sights on powering every television in the world. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.
From your first day at Roku, you'll make a valuable - and valued - contribution. We're a fast-growing public company where no one is a bystander. We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.
What does the team work on?
Roku's Home and Discovery team owns the experience that connects users to content across the entire TV platform, from the Home Screen to browse surfaces to the content details pages where viewing decisions happen.
What is the role?
As a Senior Product Manager for Content Conversion, you will focus on building experiences that help viewers more easily choose and engage with content across Roku. The moment a user reaches a piece of content is one of the most valuable on the Roku platform, and what happens next determines whether that intent becomes a streaming session, a subscription, or a missed opportunity.
This role owns that critical conversion moment and the strategy behind it. The foundation exists, but the next chapter is largely unwritten, and as content catalogs grow, user expectations evolve, and AI opens new possibilities for personalization and content understanding, conversion is one of the most open product spaces on the platform. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone ready to define what the future of content conversion looks like at Roku.
For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $260,000 - $330,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
How will I use AI at Roku?
At Roku, we don't just use AI, we work with it. AI agents and smart tools help power drafts, analysis, and repetitive workflows, while our people bring direction, judgment, and accountability.
We value curious, adaptable builders, who can show how they've used AI, agents, or automation to move faster, improve quality, and scale their impact. Strong candidates know how to frame problems, guide AI-assisted work, check the output, and learn quickly. Above all, they bring curiosity, adaptability, and sound judgment.
What are the responsibilities of the role?
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for content conversion, defining the vision, priorities, and roadmap across the lower-funnel conversion experience and leading expansion to new types of platform content
- Drive conversion outcomes by owning the metrics that define success in this area, including content conversion rate, bounce rate from details pages, and revenue per conversion, and build a roadmap explicitly tied to moving them
- Optimize the supporting content experience by defining how trailers, clips, and other supporting media serve the conversion moment, and how they should evolve to reduce bounce and increase a user's intent to stream
- Own watch options and entitlements, ensuring users can find, understand, and act on their viewing options with minimal friction at the moment of decision, and own the strategic trade-offs that maximize value across watch options
- Lead rigorous experimentation end-to-end by designing and owning A/B tests from hypothesis through decision, defining primary and guardrail metrics before tests launch, and driving every test to a concrete product or roadmap decision
- Identify and close conversion gaps using qualitative and quantitative signals to find where users are dropping off and why, then build solutions with clear, data-backed impact estimates
- Collaborate early with engineering, design, data science, and monetization to shape plans before they are final so teams are building together
- Communicate with clarity and precision by writing crisp specs, strategies, and updates, and presenting trade-offs and recommendations to leadership with confidence
- Proactively keep stakeholders informed by surfacing progress, risks, and blockers early with specific impacts, clear options, and a recommended path
What experience would help someone be successful in this role at Roku?
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a focus on consumer-facing discovery, content, or entertainment products and a track record of moving business metrics
- Proven ownership of lower-funnel or conversion product areas, including developing the strategy, defining the problem, building the roadmap, running experiments, and demonstrating measurable outcomes
- Deep understanding of users through direct conversations, behavioral data, and qualitative signals rather than relying solely on reports
- Data fluency and experimental rigor, including comfort with A/B testing, metric definition, and statistical validity, and the judgment to know when to trust data and when to question it
- Ability to create clarity and drive progress in ambiguous environments with limited information
- Demonstrated ability to earn alignment from engineering, design, and stakeholders through credibility and clear reasoning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write a crisp spec, defend a roadmap trade-off, and present recommendations to leadership
- Experience in streaming, media, TV, or large-scale entertainment platforms
- Familiarity with entitlements, subscription, or ad-supported business models
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools in day-to-day workflows and stages of the development lifecycle
- Experience with UX-driven conversion optimization on high-traffic consumer surfaces
- Comfort working across content, monetization, and engineering disciplines simultaneously
- Advanced and demonstrable skills with generative AI tools or workflows applied to product management

What should I know about Roku's culture?
Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.
We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
