What you'll be doing

  • Develop, create, and modify computer applications software.
  • Responsible for managing a highly scalable, highly available, real-time advertising platform.
  • Work alongside a highly skilled engineering team to design, develop, and maintain large-scale, highly performant, real-time applications.
  • Own building features, driving directly with product and other engineering teams.
  • Work with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Be an evangelist for best practices across all functions, including developers, Quality Assurance, and infrastructure/operations.
  • Responsible for platform innovation and reuse.
  • Deliver top-quality software in a timely fashion.

Up to two days per week telecommuting may be permitted.

 

You are required to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in the position or a related occupation.
  • Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in the following:
    1. Building scalable multi-threading applications for large data processing.
    2. SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
    3. Hands-on experience with Spark, Hive, Hadoop, and Kafka for big data analysis and processing.
    4. Developing, testing, and deploying applications on cloud platforms
    5. At least one programming language from the following: Java, Python or Scala.
    6. Building microservices for a variety of applications, including high-volume, low-latency interactions and backend operations.
    7. Deploying and scaling applications with Kubernetes.
