About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Excellence Senior Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives across our global supply chain operations. This individual contributor role will focus on identifying opportunities for process, tool, and system enhancements, leading implementation efforts, and fostering a culture of collaboration and performance measurement. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supply chain optimization. Based in our San Jose headquarters, you will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain Excellence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our supply chain remains agile, efficient, and aligned with business goals.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Strategic Supply Chain Transformation:
    • Digitize Supply Chain Operations: Design and implement next-generation tools and technologies to create a fully digitized, data-driven supply chain.
    • Supply Chain Virtual Twins: Develop virtual models of the supply chain to simulate scenarios, optimize decisions, and improve end-to-end visibility and responsiveness.
    • ERP Integration: Lead enhancements and optimization of the ERP system to streamline supply chain processes and data accuracy.
    • Mapping and Visibility: Build comprehensive supply chain mapping for better visibility of suppliers, logistics, and risks.
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Optimization:
    • Map and streamline procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure seamless operations.
    • Lead initiatives to improve inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply planning.
    • Optimize international and North American logistics networks for cost and efficiency.
    • Implement advanced forecasting models leveraging AI/ML tools to improve accuracy in demand planning and material management.
    • Optimize inventory planning to balance customer demand with cost and operational efficiency.
    • Lead cross-functional S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes to align demand forecasts, capacity planning, and financial targets.
  • Logistics and Warehousing Excellence
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve inbound and outbound logistics while reducing transportation costs and lead times.
    • Oversee warehousing operations to ensure efficiency, inventory accuracy, and automation opportunities.
    • Leverage technology to enhance shipment tracking, route optimization, and real-time logistics visibility.
  • Cost Optimization and Performance
    • Drive cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain while maintaining service levels and quality standards.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve cost, efficiency, and service delivery.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through lean and six sigma methodologies.
  • Strategy and Analytics
    • Shape Roku’s global supply chain strategy by leveraging advanced analytics and scenario-based modeling to drive strategic decisions.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of supply chain initiatives with corporate goals and objectives.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for operational improvements, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
  • Collaboration and Leadership
    • Partner with technology, procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain projects.
    • Build and develop a high-performing team focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Establish strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, scalability, and risk mitigation.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Initiative Implementation and Governance: Drive the end-to-end implementation of improvement initiatives, engaging stakeholders across departments to ensure buy-in and alignment. Define RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrices, document future-state processes, and establish governance cadences for ongoing review. Develop and track performance success metrics to measure initiative outcomes and ROI.
  • Process Improvement Identification: Lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of process, tool, and system improvement opportunities across the end-to-end (E2E) supply chain, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. Conduct thorough assessments using data-driven methodologies to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for innovation to frame the strategy for digitizing the supply chain.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Establish, monitor, and report on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for supply chain excellence. Generate insightful internal reports, automate reporting processes using tools like Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms, and present findings to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze supply chain data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, supplier portals) to uncover trends, forecast potential issues, and recommend actionable insights for enhancing operational efficiency and resilience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams in procurement, operations, finance, IT, and strategic suppliers and retail partners to align on supply chain strategies, facilitate change management, and ensure seamless integration of new processes or technologies.
  • Internal Communication and Culture Building: Support the development and execution of internal communication strategies, such as creating and managing a team newsletter to share updates, best practices, and success stories. Promote a positive teamwork culture through organizing team-building activities, workshops, and events that enhance collaboration and morale within the supply chain organization.
  • Best Practices and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain in supply chain), and best practices in supply chain management. Recommend and pilot innovative solutions to elevate Roku’s supply chain performance.
  • Risk and Compliance Support: Assist in identifying supply chain risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Design and deliver training sessions on new processes, tools, and metrics to build capabilities across the supply chain team and stakeholders.

 

We're excited if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain consulting, supply chain operations, supply chain process improvement, preferably in the consumer electronics or technology industry.
  • Proven track record in leading process optimization projects using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Proven track record of converting manual processes into automated and digitized process solutions.
  • Use of AI in operations and business problem-solving. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, or advanced Excel) and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in facilitating workshops and presenting to senior leaders on complex operations and supply chain strategies.
  • Familiarity with the implementation and use of supply chain software and systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems, TMS, WMS, Project 44, etc.).
  • Prior experience in a global supply chain environment, including vendor management, international logistics, and strategy.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing ambiguity and multiple priorities. 
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), PMP, or APICS (CPIM/CSCP).
  • Experience with automation tools for reporting and process efficiency (e.g., RPA, scripting).
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain management.
