About the team

Roku Ads Manager (ads.roku.com) is Roku’s answer to the growing and diversified demand for CTV advertising. Our self-serve ad platform entered General Availability (GA) in September 2024 and has picked up major momentum.

Our Ads Manager team is gritty and hyper-focused on scaling the best CTV ad platform in the market. We move fast, pivot quickly, and work hard. We rally around decisions, challenge assumptions, and push the limits on what advertising can do for growth marketers, performance agencies, and any other business interested in TV ads.

Our team is looking for a Director of GTM for Ads Manager to lead our in-market commercial functions — Product Solutions, Customer Success, and Customer Support — and own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy. This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of product, sales, and client success.

About the role

The Director of GTM, Ads Manager will lead a team of specialists that bridge product, sales, and client experience for Roku’s self-serve CTV platform. You will directly manage three functions: Product Solutions, Customer Success, and Customer Support. Your mandate is to drive adoption, retention, and revenue growth on Ads Manager — from first touch through long-term client success.

You will formulate and own GTM strategies for new product launches, work cross-functionally with product and engineering to incorporate client and market feedback into the roadmap, and lead a high-performing team that serves growth marketers, performance agencies, and self-serve advertisers. This role is a critical leadership position as we scale Ads Manager into the leading CTV self-serve platform.

For New York Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $252,000 - $280,000.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What you’ll be doing

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop three in-market functions — Product Solutions, Customer Success, and Customer Support — setting team strategy, hiring strong talent, and building a culture of accountability and client obsession.
  • Oversee pre-sale and post-sale motions across all three functions, ensuring seamless handoffs, consistent client experience, and alignment with sales goals.
  • Define success metrics for each team, track performance against adoption, retention, and satisfaction goals, and continuously improve operations and playbooks.
  • Build scalable processes and playbooks across solutions, success, and support that enable the team to grow with the Ads Manager business.

GTM Strategy & Product Commercialization

  • Develop and own the go-to-market strategy for Roku Ads Manager, ensuring successful product launches and sustained adoption across all advertiser segments.
  • Engage early in product planning as the lead commercial partner, incorporating client feedback and marketplace needs into the Ads Manager roadmap from Beta through GA.
  • Formulate and prioritize solutions using both existing and new platform capabilities and define the commercial framework for evaluating and launching new offerings.
  • Define, measure, and continuously evaluate success metrics for all Ads Manager product offerings to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

Thought Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

  • Identify trends, unmet advertiser needs, and growth opportunities to inform Ads Manager product priorities and roadmap development.
  • Educate advertisers, agencies, and internal teams on how to leverage Roku’s ad solutions to drive measurable CTV outcomes.
  • Ensure cross-functional buy-in and support for product initiatives across sales, product, engineering, and marketing.
  • Act as a senior voice for Ads Manager in client, partner, and industry conversations, enhancing Roku’s market position.

We’re excited if you have

  • 12+ years of professional experience in digital media, ad tech, or a closely related field, with a proven track record in advertising, product solutions, or client-facing commercial roles.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams, ideally spanning multiple functions (solutions, success, and/or support).
  • Deep expertise in the CTV and digital advertising ecosystem, with strong knowledge of self-serve ad platforms, performance marketing, and programmatic.
  • Proven experience building and scaling GTM strategies for ad tech products, including go-to-market planning, sales enablement, and product adoption programs.
  • Strong understanding of pre-sale and post-sale commercial motions — from technical consultation and demos through onboarding, retention, and growth.
  • Experience interfacing with product and engineering teams to translate market feedback into actionable roadmap inputs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to define and measure success metrics across GTM, client satisfaction, and product adoption, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable work style, with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Bonus: Experience with self-serve ad platforms, growth marketer and performance agency personas, and/or CTV-specific ad products.

The Roku Culture

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
