What you’ll be doing
- Deliver a continuous exceptional workplace experience to the Cambridge office in line with the WX vision and values.
- Act as a first point of contact to Roku staff, visitors & contractors, and assist with deliveries to and from the office.
- Actively plan local Roku events and manage the office events calendar; collaborate with the Global Employee Events & Experiences Team and with the DEI Program Manager to ensure that Cambridge aligns with global events planning.
- Help build and participate in the Cambridge Social Committee to drive engagement initiatives.
- Assist the Senior WX Lead with ad hoc administrative duties.
- Be part of the response team for emergencies ranging from equipment failures to health and safety incidents and evacuations.
- Carry out office checks, including meeting rooms, open office spaces, and kitchenette areas.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting the Sr. WX Lead with additional duties as needed, including covering responsibilities of other WX team members during both planned and unplanned absences, reflecting the cross-functional nature of the team.
This is a full-time role based in the main reception, Monday – Friday, 08:30-16:30, working from the office.
We’re excited if you have:
- 3 years plus experience in a similar role.
- Experience organizing events, ideally in both corporate and community settings.
- Familiarity with AV systems and digital signage.
- First Aid or Fire Marshal training (or willingness to undertake training).
- Ability to multitask and quickly assess situations to determine required action and/or response.
- Efficient team spirit that engages, supports, and encourages colleagues and drives toward a cooperative, cohesive team dynamic.
- Highly self-motivated, persistent, dependable, and self-sufficient.
- Outstanding communication skills with excellent spoken and written English, ensuring accurate information is conveyed, relevant to the audience.
- Strong networking skills, building robust relationships throughout the organization.
- Proficiency and efficiency across Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira.
- Ability to work to deadlines and priorities workload, while maintaining attention to detail.

The Roku Culture
Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.
We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
